We are a small church located in Altoona, PA.  But we are so eager to serve our community.  Throughout the year we have been having social events, which all people are welcome.  Every month we have a mission project. and we are always eager to hear ideas in which we can be a missional church that brings honor to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We welcome all people, no matter who you are.  Our doors are open to all walks of life and faith!  So join us, because we'd love to meet you!

What we
believe

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, and that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God.  We also believe that everyone has untapped God-given potential and that all followers of Jesus are ministers in His church.  We hope that you find Ward Avenue Presbyterian Church to be an inviting and welcoming community of faith that has a core belief in strong family values.

We are part of the PCUSA denomination.  We believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and we honor the risen Christ through his teachings that are in the Bible.  We care, we pray, we help, we serve.
